Gardere Partner Richard Faulk Joins 'Appellate Practice Essentials' Panel
Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP appellate partner Richard O. Faulk will participate in the "Appellate Practice Essentials" webinar on Nov. 15.

Faulk of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP was selected to join the "Appellate Practice Essentials" panel scheduled to be broadcast via webinar 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Mr. Faulk's co-panelist will be attorney David Axelrad of the civil appellate law firm of Horvitz & Levy LLP.
The purpose of the webinar is to provide expert guidance on the appellate process in both federal and state courts, from preserving the record through post-appeal procedure. The program will conclude with a Q&A session.

Mr. Faulk recently contributed to the treatise "Appellate Practice in Federal and State Courts" as author of the core chapter "Writing Appellate Briefs." The chapter covers topics including the decision to appeal, how courts view the "Record on Appeal," effectively using amicus briefs and the use of information technology in appellate courts.
Mr. Faulk is Chair of the Firm's Litigation Department, Environmental Practice Group and Climate Change Task Force. He was the only environmental attorney included in the Texas Super Lawyers 2011 Top 100 Lawyers in Houston listing and has been recognized as a "Leading Lawyer in Environmental Law" by Chambers USA for his "expertise in all types of environmental litigation, and in particular for his experience in toxic tort litigation."
