Gardere Partner Kimberly Yelkin to Receive Transformative Leadership Award
Kimberly Yelkin, Executive Partner of the Austin office of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, has been named the co-recipient of InsideCounsel magazine's "Sharing the Power Award."

Yelkin will be a co-recipient of the "Sharing the Power Award" as part of InsideCounsel magazine's 2nd Annual Transformative Leadership Awards West program.
The prestigious award is presented jointly to a female general counsel and a female law firm partner who have collaborated to increase the economic empowerment of one or more female partners in that firm. Ms. Yelkin will receive this award alongside client Sally Narey, General Counsel of Fireman's Fund Insurance. Winners were selected by a national awards committee comprised of general counsel from leading corporations and partners at top law firms. The award will be presented at a gala dinner and reception on Oct. 17 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.
Ms. Yelkin is chair of the Firm's Government Affairs Practice Group. Under Ms. Yelkin's leadership, Gardere's Government Affairs Practice Group was named Texas' top law firm by Texas Lawyer in its 2013 Lobbying Scorecard based on number of clients and reported revenue for work during the 83rd Texas legislative session. The same group was named the second most powerful legal lobbying team by Capitol Inside in its 10th Annual Texas Lobby Power Rankings.
