GapGuru To Host Summer Fayre
Gap years are high on many student's agenda during this time of year, thus, GapGuru believes that now is the time to pledge our support to those students who are unsure of their gap year plans. GapGuru's Summer Fayre is on hand for both students and parents to gain first hand knowledge on what makes a perfect gap year.
- (1888PressRelease) July 03, 2012 - GapGuru, a Newbury based gap year specialised, are to host a special summer fayre on Friday 24th August at Newbury Town Hall to offer support to students who may have decided at these late stages to take a gap year. This is the ideal opportunity for those considering a gap year to discuss their plans with the GapGuru team, while also answering any questions that parents may have. The event will highlight the opportunity to volunteer abroad at affordable prices while demonstrating the benefits of taking a gap year.
Mr Arvind Malhotra, founder and managing director of GapGuru states:
'GapGuru's Summer Fayre wants to highlight how now would be the perfect opportunity for any school leavers unsure of their gap year plans to get in touch and take a look at the life changing programmes we offer. This event is the perfect opportunity for students to sit down with an advisor and discuss their ideal placement. After all, a well planned gap year is the perfect way to improve your CV in this harsh economic climate.'
Mr Malhotra goes on to describe the day:
'The afternoon will show a brief presentation of what we do and ex-volunteers and staff members who have been to the projects themselves will be available to offer advice. We will also be holding a range of competitions with big prizes such as paid for flights, money off vouchers and the re-introduction of our Summer Stunner deal.'
GapGuru's Summer Fayre will provide school leavers the chance to gain in depth knowledge Volunteers work with the underprivileged, helping those in genuine need, while building their own skills, confidence and experiences. The event is taking place at the vital time of the year when results our out and UCAS clearing has commenced and when school leavers may have unfortunately missed out on the University of their choice or have simply decided to take a gap year. The event will be taking place on Friday 24th August, 3pm-5pm at Newbury Town Council, Market Place. It will open for anybody considering volunteering overseas for a gap year or even a career break. Placements range from two weeks - several months.
