Florida Prepaid College Board joins FSHCC membership to expand Hispanic Outreach.
- West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) January 12, 2017 - The Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FSHCC) welcomes the Florida Prepaid College Board as its newest addition to the trustee membership. With the rising rate of Hispanic entrepreneurship, Florida Prepaid's presence will promote the value of higher education and college savings and career planning to current and prospective Hispanic business owners and their families.

Florida Prepaid is the largest and longest-running prepaid tuition program in the nation, with more than 1.6 million Florida Prepaid College Plans purchased.
* Prepaid Plans allow families to prepay on a monthly or lump-sum basis, the future cost of college tuition, specified fees and dormitory housing.
* The program offers five prepaid tuition plans ranging in cost and the amount of credit hours covered at a college or university.
* Plan prices for the 2016-17 Open Enrollment period begin at $47 a month for a newborn.
* Open Enrollment ends Feb. 28, 2017, and is the only time each year that families can purchase one of the Florida Prepaid College Board's prepaid tuition plans and prepaid dormitory plans.

The Florida Prepaid College Board manages the Stanley G. Tate Florida Prepaid College Program and the Florida 529 Savings Plan. Both are tax-favored 529 college savings plans authorized by Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code.
