  • (1888PressRelease) May 21, 2020 - Encouraging UK businesses to adopt good practice in information security, Cyber Essentials Plus identifies the security controls a business must have established within their internal IT systems. This is in order to demonstrate managing cybersecurity effectively and mitigating the risk from internet-based threats.

Edwin Wong, Managing Director, Frontier Technology said, “Cyber Essentials Plus certification demonstrates Frontier’s dedication to help our clients and partners guard against the most common cyber threats and ensure sensitive data is secure and handled correctly. This is proof that the policies and procedures put into place at Frontier protects not only our own data but that of our clients and partners. Maintaining a pro-active approach to cybersecurity is a value crucial to Frontier Technology and this certification demonstrates the effectiveness of our systems, people, and processes in defending against a wide range of cyber threats.”

The process of auditing business to establish certification involves a CyberSmart qualified auditor conducting an assessment to test that the correct controls are established and in place. Alongside this, an in-depth audit of the security of the business is evaluated. The Cyber Essentials Plus Certification is an increased level of accreditation, being the highest level of certification. This certification is awarded by means of an independent assessment of the business security controls and processes. As a result of its external verification measures, the Cyber Essentials Plus certificate is often deemed as the most reliable certification.

Frontier achieved the Cyber Essentials certification through the IASME Consortium, the sole Cyber Essentials Scheme Accreditation body. As a data security and management company, Frontier has already adopted a number of best practices and protective measures to protect its digital assets and information as well as advising its clients on how to do the same. Whilst working in a secure and safe digital environment, Frontier can undertake Government contracts under the Cyber Essentials Plus Certification; as these contracts often require the handling of private and personal data that needs to be managed under the proper practice.
