Historic Downtown Frisco will once again host Main Street to the Rockies Art Festival this summer, August 13 - 14, 2011, on the heels of its successful July 4th Weekend Green art fair. This popular juried art show features the finest artists in the country as well as top talent from throughout the state of Colorado. Main Street in Frisco's charming downtown will be closed to traffic transforming this quaint area into an outdoor art gallery with a wide variety of original works on display and for sale. Admission is free and open to the public.
The artistic media represented include paintings, life size sculptures, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage, and ceramics and showcases contemporary as well as southwest themed artwork. Prices are set to suit all budgets and range from $25 hand-designed earrings to $30,000 metal sculptures.
The artists, juried by an independent panel of expert judges, and hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity, will be on site for the duration of the festival available to discuss their art and inspiration. All of the artwork is original and handmade in America. This art showcase brings together an eclectic mix of the nation's most talented established artists as well new and emerging talent.
