Boston's Waterfront Dining Destinations, Pier 6 and ReelHouse, to Welcome Guests to Reunite and Reminisce on Thanksgiving Eve 2017.
- Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2017 - In honor of the yearly tradition of rubbing elbows with old friends and celebrating loved ones, Pier 6, Charlestown’s waterfront dining destination, and sister restaurant ReelHouse, East Boston’s new globally-inspired coastal venture, are playing host to the ultimate Friendsgiving on Thanksgiving Eve, November 22nd, 2017. Guests are invited to both harborside destinations to reminisce and revel with seasonal dishes and signature libations.
Gather and graze on the biggest night out of the year at Pier 6, and enjoy Executive Chef Adriano Silva’s fall-inspired dishes that include Apple Cranberry Salad with baby spinach, arugula, walnuts, and apple cider vinaigrette ($12), Tomato Gratin with spinach, leeks, ricotta, pumpkin risotto, and bread crumbs ($20), and Chicken “Under a Brick” with brussels sprouts, parsnip puree, and mushroom cream sauce ($26). Toast to friendship (or foes) with Pier 6’s signature cocktails, such as Barrel Aged Vieux Carre with Knob Creek rye, Benedictine, brandy, sweet vermouth and bitters ($13), Captain’s Mistress with Avion Blanco tequila, Aperol, grapefruit juice, rhubarb bitters and cava ($13) and Lifesaver with Tito’s Handmade vodka, fresh strawberries, lime and soda ($13).
Head across the water to East Boston’s newest waterfront hot-spot, ReelHouse, where Culinary Director Marc Orfaly will be offering seasonal favorites perfect for sharing including a holiday feature of Crispy Turkey Wings with sausage stuffing and pickled cranberry ($13). Shareable small plates include Kobe Beef and Foie Gras Dumplings with stir fry cabbage and ponzu ($16), and Cripsy Phyllo Tuna Rolls with pickled turnips, sesame spinach and wasabi soy dipping sauce ($15) or Malaysian Style Chicken Wings with sambal chili, yogurt and lime ($13). Choose from flavorful entrées such as Faroe Island Salmon with autumn roasted vegetables and smoked bacon gastrique ($27), Baked Sole with edamame succotash, carrot puree and ritz cracker crumbs ($26), and Crispy Half Duck with blue crab fried rice, creamed spinach, and a dried cherry glaze ($27). Laugh over libations with signature cocktail options like Chai Old Fashioned with Chai rum, Knob Creek bourbon, orange rind, bitters and cherry ($13), Ancho Mojito with Avion tequila, Anchos Reyes chili liqueur, muddled mint, lime and agave ($13), or The Eddy with Michter’s bourbon, Averna amaro, blackberry all spice and Q ginger beer ($13).
