With the unusual attribute of having been founded by an artist -- Eric Ginsburg, well known in the New York and throughout much of the worlds art gallery scene for his soulful, often haunting, painterly portraits of dogs and cats (http://www.worldoferic.com) -- Fridge has quickly become known for it's unique philosophy and approach (http://www.blouinartinfo.com/news/story/1065301/whats-in-your-fridge), it's eclectic, loyal cadre of exhibitors drawn from all corners of the art world, and the ability of the team to go with the flow, creating a rich and varied presentation. Fridge Miami 2014 presented special off-venue pop-ups at 3 different locations in Miami and South Beach.

Fridge Art Fair was born in 2013 on New York's Lower East Side - filled to capacity with exhibitors who answered Ginsburg's challenge, "Can you fit into the Fridge?" -- at Kazuko Miyamoto's small but storied storefront, Gallery OneTwentyEight. The inaugural Miami show was presented at the somewhat more spacious Pax, on Calle Ocho. After being displaced by the closure of Angel Orensanz Center, Fridge New York 2014 opened as planned and presented an innovative, successful fair (including large-scale installations, a video lounge curated by Jeanne Wilkinson, and a Ferrari, presented by Dorian Grey Gallery, painted by John "Crash" Matos) in Long Island City thanks to major sponsorship from Plaxall.

Fridge is pleased to once again welcome media sponsor Arte Fuse, the contemporary online art magazine featuring news, openings, events, galleries, studio visits and art reviews. Visiting as many shows and artist's studios as possible, the publication offers readers a curated perspective of the art scene with special focus on New York. The magazine was founded by Jamie Martinez, Publisher and CEO, in 2008. http://artefuse.com/
