Friday Gurgaon Features CommonFloor.Com's 'RightStep Conclave'
The second RightStep Conclave 2013 organized by Commonfloor.com was recently featured in Friday Gurgaon, the weekly English newspaper from Gurgaon.
- (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2013 - This is the second event initiated by Commonfloor.com aiming to create awareness amongst residents in apartment communities on the health risks associated with cell phone tower radiations, ineffective waste management and water and air pollution.
The event which was an open discussion forum, was organised to discuss about eco-friendly ways to curb environmental challenges faced by the present day urban communities associated with the '5 Elements of Nature', i.e.
PRITHVI (Earth) - Waste treatment in apartment societies
AGNI (Fire) - Fire safety /Drills/Insurances in apartment societies
VAYU (Air) - Improving air quality in apartment societies
JAL (Water) - Smart use of water in apartment societies
AAKASH (Sky) - Managing mobile radiation in your society
The speakers comprised of government officials, experts from the field, civic authorities and other social activists, who devoted their time to come and share their views, ideas and knowledge about environmental hazards and how to build an eco-friendly/pollution-free society, starting with gated communities.
Key speakers at the event included Sumit Jain (CEO & Co-Founder at Commonfloor.com), Ravi Kalra (Founder & President of The Earth Saviours Foundation), Nitya Jacob (Programme Director for Water Centre for Science and Environment), Anju Goel (Researcher, TERI).
The event helped RWAs and residents of gated communities to learn about the need to conserve and optimally utilise the five elements of nature namely earth, air, water sky and fire for healthy and safe living.
The event was successfully executed in 5 cities including, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune, on the 20th & 21st of April 2013.
