French wind power industry exhibits at the 2015 EWEA OFFSHORE 2015 trade fair
BUSINESS FRANCE, in partnership with France Energie Eolienne and the Syndicat des Energies Renouvelables under the Windustry France banner, is organising the French pavilion at EWEA OFFSHORE, Europe's leading trade fair featuring offshore wind power, to be held this year in Copenhagen.
- (1888PressRelease) February 28, 2015 - Twenty-one French wind power experts will be presenting their technologies and innovations on a 180-square-metre national pavilion during the 3 days of exhibition, conferences and industrial meetings. The French companies are seeking to position themselves as contenders in the eyes of the international decision-makers attending this flagship event of the wind power industry.
To meet the challenges of climate change, growing demand for energy and the gradual depletion of fossil fuels as well as the volatile price of oil, renewable energies are enjoying especially strong development across the world.
In many respects, France is an ideal country to develop wind power. Giving onto the English Channel, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean, France has an extensive coastline with a high potential for the development of offshore wind power. The French government aims to reach 6 GWe of installed capacity in marine energies by 2020, i.e. 3.5% of French electric power consumption.
According to the renewable energy union, France's offshore production potential has been estimated at 15,000 MW by 2030. This means not only a source of renewable energy for millions of households, but also thousands of jobs linked to the rise of this new industry. France ranks 4th in Europe in terms of installed capacity and power production. It benefits from genuine expertise on both a European and global level.
Come and meet some of Frances biggest players active in wind power industry at the BUSINESS FRANCE pavilion, Hall A, booths A-D22, A-E22 and A-D16.
