Eight weeks after launching a new website for moms aimed at providing free executive tools for the Family CEO, tech startup business www.HATCHEDit.com announces the addition of Groups, a group chat and group organization feature.
(1888PressRelease) November 11, 2011 - HATCHEDit.com is happy to announce that a new Group chatting function is live on the family management site.
Groups has been designed to streamline the way the modern family communicates.
Currently, most Family CEOs have to rely on communicating through confusing email chains that can quickly grow unwieldy or branch off if a single participant forgets to hit "reply all".
Much in the same way that social networking site LinkedIn provides mobile and fluid communication and organization tools for professional life, HATCHEDit is focused on providing support for the business of family.
"The HATCHEDit team has designed Groups to work as one central place for people to chat intimately in larger numbers," explains HATCHEDit co-Founder Megan Brown. HATCHEDit.com users can set up groups to better coordinate anything from private family events to more public uses such as organizing class parents at schools, hobby groups, and volunteer efforts. "Right now, for example, if someone is class parent at their child's school, they need to rely on inefficient means of communication to coordinate even the simplest plans," says Brown. Instead of asking for volunteers to bring refreshments to class events through email, where things can quickly grow confusing as some volunteers hit "reply" and others hit "reply all. Soon for a simple Halloween party you can be dealing with multiple people all volunteering to bring in the same juice boxes."
HATCHEDit.com's groups function allows for one, streamlined conversation that everyone can follow.
Groups can also work for coordinating intimate events. "We're using the Groups function in our family to coordinate Thanksgiving dinner, which is done potluck style. Everyone can discuss what they are bringing and who is coming," says Brown. "In a large family like ours, it also allows family members who are coming by for just a little while, to know what the plan is for the day, and coordinate their own holiday schedule better."
In the same way, the HATCHEDit.com Groups function can allow a group of girlfriends keep a running conversation about multiple topics, and coordinate girls' night out dinners or cocktails more easily.
HATCHEDit.com mobile apps are also being developed for the Droid and the iPhone to make kid activities - and adult activities - easier to plan, making life balance more attainable. These phone apps will be debuting in the next few weeks, and should make family organization and coordination even more mobile.
