- Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) August 07, 2018 - HealthONE Hospitals Offer FREE Lung Cancer Screening Seminars.
Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer in the US, causing more deaths than breast, colon, and prostate cancers combined, and according to the American Cancer Society, more than 2,500 new lung cancer cases will be diagnosed in Colorado this year. Not all of them are smokers. Lung cancer has been largely undetectable until it reaches a late, often incurable stage... until now. New research has shown that there are effective ways to screen for lung cancer at its earliest stage. This is important because early detection and treatment for lung cancer results in higher survival rates. In other words, lung screening saves lives. Sarah Cannon, the cancer institute of HealthONE, is offering FREE lung cancer screening seminars for the community at four locations in August and September.
Who should attend: Those who are interested in learning about lung cancer screening, either for themselves or a loved one.
