Free Electronics Recycling Event Brought to You by LG Electronics USA, BBB, and Vintage Tech Recyclers
Vintage Tech Recyclers will host a FREE electronic recycling event with LG Electronics USA and BBB at the United Center in Chicago on June 22, 2013.

Bring us your old electronics at our FREE electronics recycling and document destruction/shredding event on Saturday June 22nd, at Chicago's United Center, 1901 W. Madison - Lot E from 9am-1pm (gates close at 12:45pm).
The Better Business Bureau serving Chicago and Northern Illinois (BBB), LG Electronics USA, and Vintage Tech Recyclers have joined forces to bring to a free solution for responsible electronics recycling to area residents.
To assure responsible recycling, the LG Electronics Recycling Program works with e-Stewards-certified recyclers, like Vintage Tech Recyclers, a local, e-Stewards, R2, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certified electronics recycling company. Vintage Tech Recyclers provides IT asset management, responsible recycling solutions, and hard drive security.
Vintage Tech Recyclers ensures to all customers that all electronics are properly handled and recycled and all hard drives are protected using NIST 800-88 compliant software wiping.
The electronics recycling event will be held from 9 am - 1 pm (gates closing at 12:45pm) at the United Center - Lot E, 1901 W. Madison Street. Residents are encouraged to stay in their vehicles as Vintage Tech Recyclers personnel and volunteers will assist in unloading material.
According to LG Electronics USA, by recycling old electronic products, useful materials such as glass, plastic and metal can be re-used in the manufacture of other products. Recycling electronics minimizes the amount of hazardous waste in the landfills and the extraction of new raw materials from the earth. Equally significant, replacing older TVs and computer monitors with new ENERGY STARŪ qualified models helps consumers save energy and money while saving the planet.
Items accepted include:
Computers, Laptops, Monitors, LCD's, Cell Phones, Printers, Scanners, Modems, CD drives, Cables, Keyboards, Mice, TV's, VCR's, DVD players, Camcorders, Cameras, Game Players, joysticks, Telephones, Pagers, Answering Machines, Typewriters, Calculators, adding machines, Fax machines, Copiers and Postage meters, Vacuum Cleaners, Toaster Ovens, Microwaves.
Items NOT ACCEPTED:
Light bulbs/Fluorescents, Mercury containing devices, Alkaline batteries, Household chemicals, toys, books, paint.
