West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) August 26, 2016 - This Friday August 26th, the Frank Theatres CineBowl & Grille at Delray Marketplace will host a unique charity event. From November 2015 through January 2016, Frank Theatres and Frank Theatres CineBowl & Grille locations across the eastern seaboard raised and donated a total of nearly $19,000 for Variety - The Children's Charity. To honor both the organization and the funds raised, Frank Theatres will host a formal presentation on August 26th at the CineBowl & Grille in Delray Beach, Florida. The event, which will begin at 12pm, will culminate in the presentation of a mobility bike for children being housed at the Paley Institute, an orthopedics establishment at St. Mary's Medical Center. This mobility bike will enable children with different capabilities to experience the joys of bike riding in a safe and fun way that accommodates their needs.

These funds were raised with the sale of special collector's Gold Heart Pins promoting "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens." The pins were sold at Frank Theatres locations across Florida as part of the Gold Heart Pin Campaign, Variety's signature fundraising campaign. Since its inception in 1991, Variety has worked with a multitude of major motion picture studios to design pins based on classic characters such as R2D2, Kermit the Frog, and even Mickey Mouse himself.

Frank Theatres participated in the Gold Heart Pin campaign both through the "Star Wars" pins as well as a pin promoting "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part II." The "Mockingjay" pins were sold at all Frank Theatres locations. Proceeds raised from the "Mockingjay" pins will be donated to other children's organizations in the local Frank Theatres communities. Thanks to the generosity of Frank Theatres' guests and the support of Variety, the mobility bike presentation is vivid proof that even something small can have a lasting impact.
