Franchising Training Available to Veterans at the 2nd Annual Maryland Military and Women Veteran Business Conference
VetFran will host a Franchising workshop for the 2nd Annual Maryland Military and Women Veteran Business Conference. The 2nd Annual Maryland Military and Veteran Women Business Conference will take place on Thursday, June 18th, 2015 from 8AM to 3PM at Morgan State University in the University Student Center.

VetFran is one of leading resources for transitioning soldiers, veterans and veteran spouses entering the franchising industry. Its mission is to provide access and opportunities in franchising. VetFran member companies have grown into a large network of over 650 franchise brands that voluntarily offer financial discounts, mentorship, and training for aspiring veteran franchisees and veterans seeking employment.
George Eldridge of The International Franchise Association is the program manager for VetFran and will present the seminar. A U.S. Air Force Veteran, George is responsible for helping veterans, military spouses and wounded warriors transition to civilian life through employment opportunities and franchise ownership. Eldridge works closely with a network of over 650 franchise brands that voluntarily offer financial discounts and training for aspiring veteran franchisees. Further, Veteran and franchise owner, Collis T. Crosby, operator of WOW! 1 Day Painting will share his experiences with conference participants seeking similar opportunities. Crosby said, "I am so honored and deeply humbled to speak at this prestigious event."
In addition to VetFran, conference attendees will gain valuable information and resources from Small Business Administration, Maryland Department of Veteran Affairs, M&T Bank, Maryland Capital Enterprise, Maryland Department of General Services, and L3, Inc.
The conference will take place on Thursday, June 18th, 2015 from 8AM to 3PM at Morgan State University in the University Student Center. This event is designed to connect active duty military personnel, transitioning soldiers, military spouses, veterans and emerging entrepreneurs with information and resources to grow their business successfully. The conference is open to the public.
