- (1888PressRelease) November 29, 2018 - Fractal Analytics, (www.fractalanalytics.com), a global leader in AI solutions that power human decision-making in Fortune 500 companies, hosted ai.dxb workshop in Dubai, a brand-new workshop focusing on how Fortune 500 businesses can better leverage artificial intelligence for their organizations. The half-day event, held at Grosvenor House included a number of sessions and panel discussions and emphasized on the the need to adopt artificial intelligence to solve big problems. ai.dxb follows ai.now – a similar workshop organised in New York earlier this year, in a series of workshops Fractal plans to conduct in different locations across the globe.
This half-day event had speakers and attendees from diverse industries including healthcare, financial services, hospitality, and retail. Some of the key note speakers who shared their ideas and views on artificial intelligence were Martin Lindstrom, best-selling author of Small Data: The next big thing and Srikanth Velamakanni, a global AI thought leader and the, Co-founder, Group Chief Executive & Executive Vice-Chairman of Fractal Analytics.
Through this workshop, Fractal Analytics aims to bring AI conversations to Dubai and bring new ideas and concepts through which key business problems could be solved. The first speaker of the workshop, Martin Lindstrom introduced the concept of small data – while Big Data helps uncover trends and correlations, it has a hard time predicting emotions and desires and explaining human behaviour – a powerful marketing insight. Martin Lindstrom addressed the issues related to small data and big data with relevant case studies. He further helped the audience understand how small and big data could come together to project human behaviour in a better way, preparing them for AI & big data applications.
On the other hand, Srikanth Velamakkani talked about the bigger issues that are preventing organizations to adopt artificial intelligence. He widely described the three facets of problem solving – design, engineering and artificial intelligence and how they could be combined to solve complex problems.
Commenting on the workshop, Mr. Velamakkani, said “AI is going to be an important factor for a growing business today. Many enterprises are reluctant to incorporate AI as they feel AI may be only for tech companies and that their organisation may not be ready for it. But what people fail to understand is the fact that AI is critical for any organization that wants to be a leader in its industry. Combining AI with engineering and design can equip organisations to solve complex problems at scale.” Mr Velamakkani also gave an example of how Fractal is bringing AI, engineering and design together in Qure.ai that is revolutionizing the diagnosis of Tuberculosis.
Attendees from a wide-range of industries learnt how to unlock and accelerate business opportunities through AI.
Fractal Analytics’ ai.dxb is the only industry event of its kind, designed to help Fortune 500 attendees from a wide-range of industries – CPG, financial services, healthcare, insurance, telecom, hospitality and retail – learn how to practically implement artificial intelligence for their business.
