Fox produces 'Food for the Brain' campaign for Alzheimer's Prevention
Integrated marketing agency Fox has created a marketing campaign to increase the awareness of Alzheimer's Disease for the not-for-profit organisation, Food for the Brain.
- (1888PressRelease) January 28, 2014 - The integrated marketing campaign will promote the fact that there is a way to prevent Alzheimer's, by educating the public on nutrition for the brain and through research on prevention strategies.
The campaign, known as Plan B - Positive Action on Alzheimer's, includes both online and offline communications including a dedicated website, online marketing & social media campaign, and dedicated corporate supporters packages.
One the main aims of the campaign is to encourage those aged between 50 and 70 to take the Food for the Brain Cognitive Function Test. This online screening tool helps to identify the early signs of cognitive impairment.
Other chief campaign objectives include an increase of funding and donations to enable Food for the Brain to continue research, technical development, communication programmes and education.
The campaign is aimed at a range of different audiences which include individuals affected by Alzheimer's, GPs, healthcare practitioners, partner Alzheimer's organisations, carer support networks, partner organisations and other supporters.
Jenny Adamson, General Manager at Food for the Brain said,
"Recent research has proven that the right nutrition can help prevent Alzheimer's, and Food for the Brain is committed to both educating the public and furthering research in this important area. Food for the Brain appointed Fox for their creativity, knowledge and experience in the sector of cause related marketing.".
Nelson McConnell, Director of Fox commented,
"Our work will aim to increase awareness of the link between nutrition and the prevention of Alzheimer's disease, as well as increase the donations and funding that enables Food for the Brain to continue its work in this area. This issue affects so many families and we hope that this campaign will help to reduce the number of sufferers in the future".
Food for the Brain is a not for profit organisation that champions optimum nutrition for the mind, and has been a long-standing advocate of the links between nutrition - including high dose B vitamins where required, and Alzheimer's. Recent research results have confirmed these links and have opened real opportunities for progression within this field in terms of further research into the use of vitamins, supplements and nutrition to help prevent the onset of Alzheimer's.
