Fox Capital Partners: Negotiating Sustainable Energy IPO Deal
Fox Capital Partners says it is conducting negotiations with a leading sustainable energy innovator considering a public stock floatation.
- (1888PressRelease) September 21, 2015 - Shenzhen, China-based broker-dealer, Fox Capital Partners, says it hopes to secure lead underwriter appointment for an upcoming initial public offering for a locally-based sustainable energy startup. The company's identity is not being disclosed at this time because its management has obligations to existing seed and angel investors.
Citing sources close to the negotiations that could not be named because talks are meant to be confidential, head of equity sales at Fox Capital Partners, Fabrice Romero, said that, subject to approval by the company's existing backers, the IPO could theoretically be launched in the first or second quarters of 2016.
Asked whether the timing was optimal for initial public offerings given the recent rout on the mainland Chinese indices not to mention the CSRC (China Securities Regulatory Commission) ban on IPOs earlier this year, Romero explained, "Yes, we recognize the state of market sentiment towards IPOs, but we're convinced we've uncovered a gem. Obviously, the ban on IPOs would scupper our plans if it remains in force but the issuer is perfectly willing to wait the regulator out on this, as are we."
"While we're unable to name the company, what we can say is that they're a well-established, well-funded startup that's edged its way to the very forefront of the renewable energy space in just a few short years. We expect big things ahead for this company and are confident enough in its potential to be considering proceeding on a 'firm-commitment" offering basis" he concluded.
A firm commitment offering would see Fox Capital Partners acquire the entire issuance before selling the shares onto to private and institutional investors.
