Founder's Day Celebration at United Group of Institutions
The wives of the brave Martyr's from Indian Police Services were honoured by United Group of Institutions who recently celebrated their Founder's Day to mark the 62nd Anniversary of founder Late Shri Shiv Ram Das Gulati.
- (1888PressRelease) May 12, 2013 - United Group of Institutions recently celebrated its Founder's Day with a special commemoration to mark the 62 years of Late Shri Shiv Ram Das Gulati of dedicated service to the education society. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Mr. Nripendra Mishra (IAS, Ex -Chairman,TRAI) and Guest of Honour, Mr. OPS Malik (IPS, Retired Director General of Police).
On this occasion, the Family and wives of brave Martyr's, who have devoted their lives in the battlefield to save Our Nation were awarded. The wives of the brave Martyr's from Indian Police Services, were honoured with cash rewards and bravery trophies, namely, Ms. Shashi Sharma w/o Late Const. Nagendra Sharma,Ms. Rajwati Devi w/o Late Shivpal Singh, Ms. Neelam w/o Late const. Yashveer Singh and 32 other family of brave martyr's. Also, more than 70 Principals, 156 Teachers and 350 Scholars were honored for their contribution of excellence in the field of education.
The day was celebrated with fervor, zest and enthusiasm, with first of its kind art and cultural festival 'Lakshya'. An extravaganza of activities were conducted by the students of the institution. Students showcased various cultural programmes like Vandana Recitation, Solo Song, Dance, instrumental music etc. Tree plantation was specially done by the faculty members and students.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. G.G. Gulati, Chairman, United Group of Institutions said that United Group of Institutions was founded in 1951 by Late Shri Shiv Ram Das Gulati and we have proudly completed 62years of devoted service to the society and nation at large. Similarly, the police officers have always contributed a lot for the nation and many have devoted their lives. We are proud to honor the family of the Martyr's as they let their loved ones to be in the front line to save our lives.
