  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) March 01, 2011 - Preparing for its aggressive expansion in 2011, Foundation Financial Group promoted Marc Chillion to new division general manager, effective immediately.

Since joining Foundation Financial Group in 2007, Chillion earned a nomination for the Timothy Brosier Diamond Award and was a five-time corporate award winner for sales performance. Chillion continues to play a vital role in Foundation Financial Group's expansion as efforts in his newly appointed role further enhance the financial services company's progress.

"Working with Foundation Financial Group offers great experience," Chillion said. "I've enjoyed my time here and look forward to continued growth with the company for many years to come."

Foundation Financial Group opens a new center in Rochester, N.Y., later this year and plans further expansion out West with Illinois and Texas centers opening in the second quarter.

On Jan. 3, Foundation Financial Group began offering additional financial services, including insurance, wealth management and tax services, through affiliate companies under the Foundation Financial Group umbrella. The expansion will result in new job creation as well as moving Foundation Financial Group from a mortgage lender to a comprehensive financial services company.

A native of Chattanooga, Tenn., Chillion attended Maryville College followed by Kennesaw State University. Upon graduating, Chillion worked for Marketworks Corp. as a priority support specialist and then Datatrac Corp. as a technical support specialist. However, it was with Foundation Financial Group that Chillion prospered and grew into his new position.

"Creating a successful company starts with putting the right people in the right positions," said Mark W. Boyer, chief executive officer. "Marc consistently proves his dedication and passion for Foundation Financial Group, and we're pleased to have him as part of our team."

In his personal time, Chillion enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their dog, Cooper. An active community member, he enjoys giving his time and energy to help causes he cares for deeply. Chillion regularly participates in the annual 150-mile Georgia Bike MS ride to help end multiple sclerosis, the annual Wish for Wendy softball tournament and the PAWS Atlanta 5K.
