Former Waitress Launches Humorous Brand 'Team Bitter'
Waitress Michelle Zajec has taken her countless years working in the hospitality industry and transformed her unique tales into coasters depicting her experiences
- Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN-WI (1888PressRelease) June 19, 2012 - Former waitress, turned entrepreneur, Michelle Zajec has recently taken her many years working in the hospitality industry and the countless occurrences during that time, and created a unique new novelty product line consisting of coasters containing quirky and witty anecdotes based on those experiences.
"After years of waiting tables-too many people to count-I'd grown quite bitter about the service industry and people in general," said Michelle Zajec, creator of Team Bitter. "With that bitterness, I earned the nickname 'Team Bitter'. While trying to figure out my great escape from the service industry,
I decided to use the material I'd gathered over the years and capitalize on the experience, and so 'Team Bitter' the brand was born. With so much to be bitter about, this product line has evolved to cover more than just the service industry."
Available at Teambitter.storenvy.com, the 3.5" x 3.5" foam coasters are made from the same rubber composite material found in mouse pads.
Currently available are over 30 different designs, featuring both comical and serious messages relevant to real-life topics. The majority of the messages and situations portrayed are geared toward the service industry and are a reflection of something Zajec has encountered through her years as a waitress.
"I originally created the product line as a way to make people laugh, but it has since evolved into something more," Zajec added. "The coasters have become a way to spread awareness about various issues-whether they are world-related, about spending quality time with friends and family or simply treating people of the service industry with respect. We have coasters for all occasions, and are adding new designs weekly."
In addition to striving to bring laughter to people through her innovative coasters, Michelle Zajec has also announced that Team Bitter will be donating 10 percent of all profits each month to various good causes and foundations.
"There are countless organizations and non-profits that are out there who could use additional funding, so each month we want to donate to a different cause," said Zajec. "We ask that if our customers believe they know of a worthwhile foundation in need, to please forward their information over for consideration."
