Hundreds of world's most influential commercial finance executives will convene in New York to discuss state of credit markets and global economy.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) October 12, 2011 - The Commercial Finance Association (www.cfa.com) today announced that Robert Gates, former United States Secretary of Defense, will provide the keynote address at the CFA's 67th Annual Convention. The Convention is titled "Connect. Grow. Succeed" and will take place November 16-18 New York's Marriot Marquis.
Each year, the Commercial Finance Association brings together the nation's most accomplished professionals in the secured lending industry to collaborate on current issues in commercial lending. Convention attendees will hear presentations on industry trends, the state of the ABL and factoring markets, and take advantage of valuable networking opportunities to connect with their colleagues as well as those who provide services that support the industry in the fields of appraisals/auctions/liquidations, law and turnaround management.
"This is a particularly crucial year for our world's most influential commercial finance executives to come together and discuss real issues that affect real companies," said Andrej Suskavcevic, CEO, Commercial Finance Association. "While we have seen some positive indicators in terms of credit inquiries and utilization, it's no secret that we are still mired in a global economic recession. Access to working capital is undoubtedly one of the most clear paths to economic relief and job growth, so the timing could not be more relevant to bring these minds together."
Experts and leaders in economics and the financial industry from around the world will provide insights into the future of commercial lending and the changing economic and political landscape.
"I am looking forward to attending CFA 67th Annual Convention for an opportunity to network with colleagues and friends, do business and to learn what is new and exciting in our industry and the markets we serve," said Bruce Sprenger, Group Senior Vice President/Region Manager, Cole Taylor Business Capital. "Returning to New York is a special treat as the city's heartbeat will add to the excitement of this convention."
In addition to high profile keynote speakers, the convention will feature topical panel discussions including:
• Financing Trends in Private Equity Transactions
• Fraud Prevention
