Former NJN Television Studio Poised for New Tenant
State-of-the-Art Facility is situated in Downtown Newark's 50 Park Place.
- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2011 - A 2,500-square-foot television studio is available at the Robert Treat Center, 50 Park Place, Newark, N.J., announced The Berger Organization, owner of the 15-story, 100,000-square-foot class B office building. The studio was the home of the New Jersey Network for 20 years, prior to NJN's operations being outsourced by the State of New Jersey.
Located next to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, 50 Park Place is just three blocks from Newark Penn Station, with 14-minute access to Manhattan. The site also has close proximity to other amenities in downtown Newark.
"This state-of-the-art studio was continuously upgraded during NJN's occupancy," said Bruce Berger, president of The Berger Organization. "It offers 18-foot floor to grid, with grid and lighting fixtures, dressing rooms and editing rooms, and is ready to use with a new user's equipment. It also has service elevators to the building's loading docks, and parking is available. There are also two floors of office space with a private entrance on Park Place.
"With its location and amenities, 50 Park Place continues to perform very well in the current office market," said Berger, "and this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity in this market for a broadcast operation."
In addition to 50 Park Place, The Berger Organization's Newark portfolio includes the adjacent 60 Park Place, the 176-room Best Western Robert Treat Hotel, and the landmark office buildings at 10 Park Place and 570 Broad Street. Additionally, the Griffith and Hahne buildings at 605 and 609 Broad Street are both slated for mixed-use redevelopment.
