Former Judge To Launch San Diego Law Firm With A Twist - Office Will Feature An Actual Courtroom
A former judge is opening a new law firm in San Diego that has a unique feature - a replica of an actual courtroom where he will "try" cases before faux juries prior to litigating them before actual ones.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) February 06, 2015 - West Seegmiller, who maintains offices in Newport Beach and Las Vegas, will launch his downtown San Diego firm on April 1 and, in addition to traditional offices, will boast its own courtroom complete with judge's bench, jury box and tables for the plaintiff and defendant.
This wasn't an aesthetic consideration, but rather a functional space for him to conduct "pre-trials" of his cases. Not one to take his chances before a real jury, Seegmiller recruits mock "juries" to hear his cases first so that he can gain their feedback. He then shapes and reshapes his arguments so when he tries the case in front of an actual jury, nothing is left to chance.
"Too many lawyers in my field are too quick to settle a case and rarely if ever try one before an actual jury," said Seegmiller, who represents "the underdog, the powerless, and those who otherwise have nowhere else to turn." "It should be the goal of every attorney to do everything in their power to secure justice for their clients and if that means installing a courtroom in their offices, then so be it. I intend to serve those in San Diego County with the same level of commitment I have demonstrated for 3 decades."
Seegmiller's philosophy isn't just talk. Among his opponents in the courtroom are such titans as Coca Cola, Southern California Edison and Rockwell International - each of which lost cases against him resulting in substantial financial awards for his clients.
The Seegmiller Law Firm is located at 501 W. Broadway, Ste 800 in San Diego. Call (619) 777 - HURT or visit www.seegmillerpersonalinjury.com for more information.
