Forecast Health and University of North Carolina Health Care Form a Strategic Agreement
Forecast Health and UNC Health Care form a Strategic Agreement to develop predictive models and services that will enable health care providers to deliver more personalized and higher quality health care. The software models will identify factors that might influence patient's health risks or overall health outcomes.
- (1888PressRelease) January 28, 2015 - Forecast Health, the company that brings actionable and affordable predictive analytics solutions to hospital systems, announces a collaborative agreement with University of North Carolina (UNC) Health Care. As part of the agreement announced today, UNC Health Care and Forecast Health will develop predictive models and services that enable health care providers to deliver more personalized health care and improve healthcare quality for their patients. The software models allow physicians and patients to identify factors that might influence a patient's health risks or overall health outcomes.

When physicians and their patients have actionable, easy-to-understand information earlier, they are able to make much better decisions, so we are excited to work with Forecast Health to develop those types of insights."
Michael Cousins, PhD, President and Chief Analytics Officer at Forecast Health added, "The combination of rich data and advanced analytical methods can provide clinicians with key information about a patient's risks. For example, we can prompt a care manager to consider whether the patient would benefit from a home health assessment."
With this agreement UNC Health Care plans to help Forecast Health develop a variety of predictive models, dashboards, and patient rosters to deliver quality care across a broad spectrum of clinical areas.
