Ford India Planning To Clear 6000 Advance Booking Cars
With increase advance booking on Ford Figo that rises more than 6000-7000 Cars there arise a lot of problems for Ford India. A public meeting was held on Sunday to announce the clearance of all booked cars by the end of July.
- (1888PressRelease) August 20, 2010 - Ford India has increased the production of their cars by increasing the number of shifts to three. One of the top officials told us that we are targeting to achieve the production of 10000 cars till the end of July that clear all backlog booking. The ford India plant in Chennai has given this responsibility to fulfill the need.
The sale of ford Figo has seen a rise of 46% in sale and 28,000 total cars had been booked since the car was launched in March 2010. Upon asking the price of the car if it may increase or not the company officials said "We are presently not any mood to increase the price of the car."
The managing director and Ford company president Michael Boneham in Mumbai said we are also planning to export the Ford Figo Cars to South Africa. He also added that "with the coming of this car company is getting great profit and help regain the Indian market. All metro cities in India shows good response in the sale of the basic model.
Ford Figo is competing with other same class cars like Volkswagen POLO, Hyundai i20, Swift, Fiat Punto and other small hatchback car models. But this car is most liked by Indian mass because of its great mileage with a starting price of 3.5 Lakh only.
