Forbes Living to Report on the World's Most Expensive City to Visit on an Upcoming Segment
Forbes Living will list the world's most expensive cities to visit, and the best tourist values.
- Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) June 17, 2014 - The Forbes Living TV show has advice for globe trotters on what cities are the most expensive to visit. The travel website, TripAdvisor, has named London as the priciest destination. According to the poll, an evening out and overnight stay in a four-star hotel in London can end up costing US$523. This is more than three times the cost of the same thing in Hanoi, which is named as best value. TripAdvisor's top 10 most expensive cities are London, Paris, New York, Stockholm, Oslo, Zurich, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Toronto, Sydney. Although not the cheapest, these are the cities that TripAdvisor recommends as best value for travelers: Hanoi, Jakarta, Sharm el Sheikh, Bangkok, Sofia, Cape Town, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, Prague, Budapest. One caution for travelers is to keep an eye on expenses because when dealing in a foreign currency, it's easy to forget how much the equivalent actually is, in the tourist's native money.
