Forbes Living to Report on Russian Police Uniforms on an Upcoming Segment
Forbes Living will examine the trend towards very short skirts on some Russian police women.
- Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) June 27, 2014 - The Forbes Living TV show will look at the practice by some Russian police officers of modifying their uniforms by themselves. This has led to short sleeves for wear during the summer and, in the case of young, female police officers, shortened skirts some much shorter than when they were issued. Neither government officials nor police department heads are impressed with this turn of events, so they have issued directives that uniforms not be modified. The prime argument is reasonable, that a police officer's appearance needs to inspire a sense of authority and, in urgent settings, even intimidation. The uniform is intended to command respect and make offenders think twice about resisting arrest. It could be argued that a female police officer with a skirt the length of a cheerleader's might not be taken as seriously as it needs to be during a tense moment of confrontation. From now on, Russian police uniforms will be forced to remain "street legal".
