Researchers have discovered that a mother who exercises throughout pregnancy -- even late stages -- tends to have a leaner daughter, and that will stay with the child throughout her life. The more out-of-shape the mother is, the baby will likely follow suit and that, too, will be with her for life. Researchers at the University of Colorado School of Public Health studied 800 pairs of mothers and daughters and found that about 30 minutes of exercise per day will reduce the amount of blood sugar in her body - and the baby's -- which would stand the child in good stead for her life ahead.
