Footfeed Introduces First Multi Check-in App For iPhone
Check-in aggregator network Footfeed launches the first multi check-in app for iPhone that makes it easy to check-in to Brightkite, Foursquare and Gowalla simultaneously.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2010 - Footfeed, a new location-based check-in aggregator startup, recently launched the first iPhone native multi check-in app to combat "check-in fatigue". Built from the ground up as a check-in service, Footfeed integrates APIs from Brightkite, Foursquare, Gowalla and Facebook so that users can check-in to all of the services using a single app. To make this possible, Footfeed developed an advanced matching algorithm that is able to match locations across the different services. The result is that people who like to check-in to multiple networks can now do so using a single app, while still earning points, badges, rewards and mayorships offered from the other check-in services.
Footfeed offers a number of additional features including the ability to view friend check-ins across the supported check-in services, as well as track points, badges and rewards earned. For developers interested in adding multi check-in capabilities to their mobile apps, Footfeed is also making freely available a read/write API.
