Food Truck Thursdays At Fairplex To Re-start Their Engines April 7
6 Gourmet Food Truck Chefs Whip Up Culinary Magic While Farm at Fairplex Offers Fresh Produce.
- (1888PressRelease) March 21, 2016 - A rotating line-up of gourmet food trucks return April 7 at Fairplex to serve up the hottest culinary delights while The Farm at Fairplex showcases its freshest produce available for purchase. Continuing through the summer, Food Truck Thursdays are open to the public from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.; there is no cost for admission or parking.
Attendees can expect a festival-like setting where they will experience a wide variety of epicurean fare by some of the hottest local chefs, music by a DJ, free samplings of the freshest produce of the season - grown at the Farm at Fairplex, fresh fruit cobbler prepared by Cobbler Mania, kettle corn by JC Concessions, craft and mainstream beers by Cornucopia Foods, and even margaritas and wines. During summer, Dr. Bob's Ice Cream, which is produced at Fairplex, will be available.
Food Truck Thursdays at Fairplex is located at Gate 1 in the lower administration parking lot, 1101 W. McKinley Dr., Pomona.
"We are delighted to take a leading role in the food truck craze, which showcases a great variety of creative, high-quality food," said Food and Beverage Manager Sherry Flores. "We will regularly rotate the line-up to encourage guests to return each week and experience a unique and fun culinary adventure."
Flores said that the fare will run the gamut from butter-poached lobster grilled cheese sandwiches and freshly baked crepes with blue cheese and raspberries to short rib tacos, kimchi quesadillas and tofu burritos. Meals including a beverage fall in the $8-$12 range.
