"Food Network's Robert Irvine, celebrity host of Restaurant: Impossible, chose Dr. William P. Mack of Tampa, FL to perform his cosmetic eyelid surgery." - Robert Irvine was quoted as saying he experienced "friendly service" and a "professional doctor."
- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) September 23, 2011 - Robert Irvine, 46 years old, was born in Wiltshire, England and now resides in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Irvine is a celebrity chef and host known for Food Network's "Dinner: Impossible" and "Restaurant: Impossible." Irvine's latest show, "Restaurant: Impossible" airs on the Food Network channel. "After combating countless "impossible dinners," Chef Robert Irvine faces a daunting new challenge: save America's most desperate restaurants from impending failure in just two days with only $10,000. In his new prime-time Food Network series, Restaurant: Impossible, Robert uses creativity and resourcefulness along with a lot of muscle in his fight to rescue these restaurants and give hope to the owners and their employees.
Day one of the extreme mission begins with a thorough business assessment as Robert launches the restaurant into full service, closely observes the staff and kitchen, and determines their weakest spots. Then, he springs into action by updating the menu, retraining the staff and implementing aesthetic changes with the help of his design team. To ensure a packed house for the grand re-opening at the end of day two, Robert hits the streets to tell the community about the improved restaurant. Will the ruthless schedule, tight budget and ambitious task overcome Robert's lofty goals, or will this tall order result in restaurant triumph?" (www.foodnetwork.com)
Mr. Irvine's fiancé Ms. Gail Kim, a professional wrestler, helped him find Dr. Mack as she currently resides in Tampa, FL. During his consultation with Dr. Mack, Irvine stated that his eyelids were interfering with daily activities and were an issue with his line of work. Robert Irvine met with Dr. Mack for his complimentary consultation. The following week Mr. Irvine had surgery (upper eyelid blepharoplasty) on his eyelids in Dr. Mack's private practice in South Tampa. Cosmetic upper eyelid blepharoplasty refers to the surgical procedure that Dr. Mack performs to reduce the tired baggy appearance of the upper eyelids. During the eye surgery, incisions are made in the crease of the upper eyelid to remove excess skin and fat. The advantage of making the incision in the eyelid crease in that the scar is barely noticeable after a few months. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed under local anesthesia and the patient typically has the sutures removed 7 to 10 days following the surgery. Dr. William P. Mack's notes that "the eye region is the most important aesthetic component of the face. When eye contact is made, we immediately begin forming our first impressions; judging someone to be tired, sad, angry, or pleasant-all based on the appearance of the area around the eyes. With aging, the upper eyelids may become "droopy" or "baggy" giving patients a tired look which decreases the overall attractiveness of one's eyes."
In between taping for the upcoming season of "Restaurant: Impossible," Robert stopped by Dr. Mack's office to record a video testimonial. Mr. Irvine wanted all of Tampa Bay to know what a great and "professional" doctor William P. Mack, M.D. is and how pleased he was with his results and experience. Dr. Mack and his staff were very thankful to have Mr. Irvine and his fiancé take time out of their hectic schedule to help promote his extensive training in Oculoplastic and Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Mack stated that Irvine is a very "laid-back, personable, and overall genuine person." Debbie Gill, RN and office manager for Dr. Mack, stated that the couple were "easy to work with," "extremely humorous," and "he made me laugh throughout the whole experience and even the procedure." Below is the video testimonial from Irvine transcribed into text format:
"Hi my name is Robert Irvine, I'm the host of Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible" and I'm here to tell you guys out there what an amazing guy Dr. Mack is. I checked out and found Dr. Mack here in Tampa. So I traveled from South Carolina to have a consultation with him and I gotta tell you this… From the start of my procedure to the end of it (even today,) just amazing. You know if you can see, I don't know if you can see this, I had over lapping…. what I would call extra skin which actually affected when I did my job on TV. So, Dr. Mack tightened them up, removed some excess skin and made me look hopefully this good. So, I got to tell you, if you're looking for somebody that you want to trust… look no further. Right here in Tampa, Florida- Dr. Mack… and I'm sure you can see by the website the address. Give him a call, come on down, see the friendly service that you can get, the professional doctor himself. Actually, he's kind of a movie star; he's got movie star looks, well hey that's why he's in that profession. Don't waste any time, come from wherever you live and get a free consultation NOT (it's not a free consultation is it? It is?) Come get a free consultation and I tell you this you will not be happier with the results and you will tell all your friends. Let me put it this way, if you tell five friends you'd be making money. It's a great experience… you've got to come and see it."
