Following CDC Precautions the Volunteer Ministers Help Clearwater Families to Stay Well
The Church of Scientology is providing free tools to help people stay well.
- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) May 31, 2020 - Supporting the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines for all to maintain social distancing and wear masks in public, the Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology announced that they have distributed more than 60,000 free booklets to Clearwater businesses on how people can keep themselves and others well.
The booklets, which are available at more than 800 facilities in the greater Clearwater area are part of a public awareness campaign to help guard against a recurrence of the pandemic.
“There have been more than 100,000 Covid-19 related deaths in the United States,” said Clemence Chevrot, Community Affairs Director of the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization. “This is a situation where we are all truly in it together. If we can provide information that people can use to stay well, we will all be better for it.”
“The old proverb ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure’ is the byword of how to deal with the present situation,” said Chevrot. “In addition to the booklets that we are distributing, Church-sponsored PSA’s and billboards across Tampa Bay are featuring helpful advice to prevent and handle illness. There is quite a bit you can do.”
The Church hosts an online prevention resource center – www.scientology.org/staywell/ – where additional information is provided at no cost, including informational videos and downloadable booklets.
