Folbot Reintroduces Kayak Model For Limited Time
Folding kayak company re-releases Edisto model for the month of February.
- Charleston-North Charleston, SC (1888PressRelease) February 06, 2013 - Folbot, the world's longest continuously producing folding kayak manufacturer, is reintroducing its fishing and wildlife-specific model kayak just in time for the Southeastern Wildlife Exhibition in Charleston, S.C.
The Edisto kayak model, which was previously discontinued, features a large, open cockpit with room for kids, man's best friend or additional gear. An optional Fish 'n Photo package converts the Edisto kayak into a stable platform perfect for wild life enthusiasts or dedicated anglers.
"The material used to cover the frame of the Edisto makes it extremely quiet. Wildlife will forget you're nearby-- but the fish you caught and photos you took will prove otherwise," says Eric Thome, chief executive officer of Folbot.
The Fish 'n Photo package includes a sit-on-top seat for easier casting and greater visibility, an outrigger pontoon system for stability, a floor deck to hold gear, a Scotty Baitcaster rod holder and a lightweight PVC fluke style anchor.
The Edisto measures 13' in length and 30" wide. The kayak only weighs 39 lbs with a maximum payload of 300 lbs. Customers may customize their Edisto model by selecting one of nine available fabric colors for the kayak's hull and exterior.
Available only throughout the month February, the Edisto kayak may be purchased online at www.folbot.com and is priced at $1995 without the Fish 'n Photo package, which is an additional $450.
