Flowers by Pouparina partners with Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and treatment
Flowers by Poupariña has partnered with Susan G. Komen® Miami/Ft. Lauderdale to help raise awareness about breast cancer and help fund a cure for this life-threatening disease.
- (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2015 - Miami, FL - The company has sponsored several of the Affiliate's events and pledged to donate 10 percent of the sales proceeds from its special "Flower Me Pink for the Cure" arrangements.
On September 20th, Flowers by Poupariña was proud to provide floral centerpieces and pink corsages for Komen® Miami/Ft. Lauderdale's Inaugural Faces of a Warrior Survivor Luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables honoring the founders of the Affiliate's first Race for the Cure® in 1996 and its 2015 survivor warriors, and remembering those lost to breast cancer.
On October 17th, the florist donated pink floral arrangements for Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale's 20th Anniversary Race for the Cure®, which raises money for local breast health education, screening, treatment and support. The arrangements were displayed in the Komen Survivor Tent, which honored more than 1,000 breast cancer survivors who participated in the inspiring survivor ceremony and race.
During October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Flowers by Poupariña pledged to donate 10 percent of the proceeds from sales of its special "Flower Me Pink for the Cure" arrangements. Today Flowers by Poupariña announced it has decided to strengthen its commitment to the fight against breast cancer by extending the promotion and its 10 percent donation to the Affiliate beyond October, to 12 months a year.
"The battle against breast cancer is personal for us - we have faced it in our own family," said Janella Alfonso, President of Flowers by Poupariña. "We are committed to supporting the Komen mission of saving lives and ending breast cancer forever through our Pink for the Cure promotion, beyond Breast Cancer Awareness Month to the entire year," she said.
