  • West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) September 21, 2012 - For the first time in its 20-year publishing history, Florida Design will feature a "cover girl" on its front cover along with a residential interior photograph related to its inside cover story. The Fall 2012 issue of the magazine, which is due out this September, will share its glossy cover page with tennis legend Venus Williams who also founded and directs V*Starr Interiors headquartered in northern Palm Beach County.

The subject of the multiple-page cover article in the revered publication will be the design of a model residence at the One Thousand Ocean Ocean-to-Intracoastal condominium in Boca Raton. It was furnished by Williams and her V*Starr team.

"We have never put anyone on our front cover before. However, in this particular instance, our focus is on two icons and we felt they both deserve top billing - one being Williams, and the other, an iconic building in a world-class city," said Florida Design Publisher Jeff Lichtenstein.

Entitled "Another Win For Venus Williams," the article will describe the model, which has its own private elevator lobby, four bedrooms, four and one-half baths, abundant floor-to-ceiling expanses of glass, and stunning views of ocean, the Intracoastal/Lake Boca Raton and the city. The residence encompasses 4,971 square feet under air with an additional 1,289 square feet spread across two oversized terraces (one terrace is outfitted with an outdoor kitchen and private plunge pool).

"That's all the information we're giving away right now. To find out more, as well as to view the beautiful photographs, we encourage you to see the fall issue for yourself," Lichtenstein added.

Jamie Telchin, One Thousand Ocean's developer and president of development with LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels, said he is delighted that Jeff Lichtenstein and the Florida Design editorial staff chose this residence for such a prominent feature. "The magazine is highly regarded by both consumers and the design industry, and it has worldwide distribution," Telchin noted. "While it has been well read without ever having a renowned 'personality' on the front cover, I am sure that having Venus there will increase interest in this issue even more. "We're thrilled because it demonstrates that her talents reach beyond the courts."

With more than $200 million in closed sales volume and 87 percent of the 52 residences sold, One Thousand Ocean currently has seven one-story Residences, two-story Beach Villas and Penthouses available. The majority are finished and ready for immediate occupancy, while several penthouses may be completely customized to carry out a buyer's grand vision. Prices are from approximately $3 million to $15 million.
