- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2010 - Firefighters and emergency medical services providers from the Flanders Fire Company and Rescue Squad No. 1 will hold a community garage sale at the Flanders firehouse, 27 Main St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 24. Set up time is 8 a.m.
"We always tell people that having a lot of clutter around the house can be a hazard," said Fire Company President Kevin Dolan. "Well, here's a chance to get rid of some of those items creating that clutter, make a little money on them and at the same time, help our volunteers who provide fire and rescue services by helping us raise money for the fire company."
This is the third year for the community garage sale and each year has seen more people exhibiting and more people coming. Those taking tables include neighbors selling their odds and ends and craftspeople selling their creations.
Sales booths, which are 15 feet by 15 feet, cost $15 each. Tables for the booths are an additional $5 each. For information, contact Firefighter Marc Ajbuszyc at (973) 615-6544 or majbu ( @ ) live dot com dot
