The event will be hosted by the ECEW at the Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be live music, a silent auction and a variety of Lowcountry dishes will be served with beer and wine. Flags of Freedom-Party in the Park benefits local military causes. It helps to supply the hundreds of flags that fly at Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum and it raises money for the Mt. Pleasant War Memorial Scholarship Fund that benefits the surviving children of Mt. Pleasant residents who have been killed in the line of duty. The event also benefits the ECEW Mt. Pleasant Micro-Loan Program which fosters the growth and success of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services including physical space, capital, coaching, common services, and networking connections.
