Monica Kaden, Principal, Fischer Barr & Wissinger, presented "Healthcare Valuations" at the 2014 Health Law Symposium.
- (1888PressRelease) November 15, 2014 - Parsippany, NJ - Monica Kaden, MBA, ASA, Principal, Fischer Barr & Wissinger LLC, recently gave a presentation, "Health Care Valuations," at the 2014 Health Law Symposium co-sponsored by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) and the Health Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA). This event was held at Seton Hall Law School.
Kaden's presentation "Healthcare Valuation" discussed the specific issues that need to be addressed when valuing healthcare entities. She elaborated on the different methods of valuation and specific healthcare laws that need to be considered. She also spoke about valuing acquisitions of physician's groups and the values assigned to the practice and compensation.
The 2014 Health Law Symposium features a comprehensive discussion of the cutting-edge health care issues impacting attorneys who represent hospitals, healthcare facilities, physicians, and medical insurers, as well as those who deal with corporate, commercial, tax and ERISA matters.
Monica Kaden is an accredited senior appraiser ("ASA") with the American Society of Appraisers. She has been performing business valuations for two decades and has focused her valuation practice in the health care industry. Ms. Kaden specializes in valuing medical practices, ambulatory surgery centers and other health care entities. A sought after thought leader, she is a frequent public speaker before accounting, legal and other professional groups.
She started her career at a Big Four CPA firm and has worked for large regional and local NJ accounting firms for more than twenty years specializing in business valuation, litigation support and valuation for financial and income tax reporting.
Ms. Kaden is a graduate of Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts, the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Master of Business Administration, and is pursuing a post-MBA graduate program at Farleigh Dickinson University. She is an accredited senior appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers.
