First Tennessee's Hamilton Pig Comes Dressed to the Nines for the Nashville Sounds Season
As the baseball season opens in Nashville at First Tennessee Park, a giant 4' x 6' pink pig helps celebrate baseball and raise funds for a local foundation.
- Nashville, TN (1888PressRelease) April 14, 2015 - Hamilton the Pig, "Ham," is suited up and ready to support minor league baseball team Nashville Sounds and First Tennessee Park at the home opener for the minor league team, April 17, 2015. Since arriving from Dallas, this 4 ft. tall, 6 ft. long pink piggy bank has been riding around in high style, touring his new home and visiting many iconic Nashville landmarks. Mecca Design and Production, a boutique scenic element and services design/build group, crafted the five original giant pigs to visit First Tennessee Banks all over Tennessee in 2014 to celebrate their 150th anniversary. Now Mecca has created personalized Sounds jerseys and hats for three of the pigs, with a special #1 for Hamilton, who will be a permanent resident at First Tennessee Park after the opening day celebration. As a real piggy bank, Hamilton is helping the Nashville Sounds Foundation, an organization in Nashville that benefits programs for youth education and physical development, raise funds. Fans will be able to donate to the foundation throughout the season at First Tennessee Park, where Hamilton will reside.
