First independent social enterprise Contract Research Organization to serve the pharmaceutical industry launched
Ozmosis Research is the first social enterprise (not-for-profit) Contract Research Organization (CRO) formed to offer clinical trial services to academic centers and the pharmaceutical industry.

Ozmosis Research was founded by Dr. Amit Oza, an internationally recognized researcher in cancer.
Ozmosis research provides the full complement of clinical research services, including drug design and development, medical writing, site selection, management, monitoring, data management, report and regulatory services. Ozmosis specializes in Oncology and can manage other therapeutic areas as well. As a social enterprise company, any operating surpluses will be reinvested into advancing cancer research. Dr Amit Oza is a Senior Staff Physician at PMH and Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
He is the holder of numerous grants, including a prestigious NIH clinical research contract. He has also been principal and co-author of numerous publications in major peer reviewed journals, such as Cancer Research, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Annals of Oncology, Investigational New Drugs and Clinical Cancer Research. Ozmosis Research Inc. has established a prestigious Board of Directors comprised of the following individuals: Dr Ben Neel (Chair)- Director of Research for the Ontario Cancer Institute, Dr Amit Oza- CEO Ozmosis, Ms. Pamela Degendorfer- COO Ozmosis, Dr Malcolm Moore, Chief of the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology, Dr Christopher Paige- VP of Research at UHN, Dr Mary Gospodarowicz- Medical Director of Cancer Services for PMH, Mr. Paul Alofs- President and CEO of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Ms. Justine Jackson, Chief Finance Officer of UHN, and Dr Piyush Patel-past CEO of Allied Clinical Research.
