First Federal of Bucks County Promotes Georgann Berger McKenna to SVP and Linda Cooper to VP; SVP Karen Shinn Assumes New Role
Bristol-based bank executives assume new responsibilities.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) July 23, 2013 - First Federal of Bucks County (www.firstfedbucks.com), a federally chartered mutual savings bank serving businesses and individuals in Bucks County, as well as Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware counties, announced today that Georgann Berger McKenna has been promoted from senior vice president - human resources to senior vice president - sales and administration, and Linda Cooper from vice president - branch team leader to vice president - retail banking manager. Karen D. Shinn, senior vice president - deposit operations and information technology, will now report directly to the new president and CEO Jeane Coyle and will assume new responsibilities.
Jeane M. Coyle, the bank's new president and CEO and first female leader, announced the promotions as part of her restructuring plan.
McKenna, of Ambler, PA, who was senior vice president of human resources, takes on an expanded role in charge of sales and administration. She will oversee the most team members and the front-line functions that touch the most customers - consumer lending, mortgage lending, branch banking, the customer care center and human resources. Her focus will be on leveraging First Federal of Bucks County's skills to differentiate its service and create revenue generating opportunities for the bank.
After working in human resources and training in positions of increasing responsibility at various banks for two decades, McKenna became vice president and human resources director for a national real estate investment and development company with more than 300 employees in 2004. She then returned to banking when she joined First Federal of Bucks County in 2010. McKenna earned a master's in business education from Oklahoma State University and serves on the boards of Foulkeways at Gwynedd and Central Montgomery Technical High School (Perkins Committee).
"As a human resources professional, Georgann has been a true business partner to other bank CEOs in the past, as well as numerous business unit managers as they seek to grow," said Coyle. "I look forward to working with her in this new and expanding role."
Cooper, of Bensalem, PA, a 27-year banking veteran, will increase her role from overseeing five branch offices to overseeing First Federal of Bucks County's entire 11-branch network. She will manage the branch banking sales and administration.

Cooper volunteers at nursing homes and hospitals to provide pet therapy and participates in many walk-a-thons for cancer research and pet well-being.
Shinn, of Burlington County, NJ, joined First Federal of Bucks County in January 2007 as vice president of deposit operations. After graduating from the Harris School of Business in Cherry Hill, N.J., Shinn started her banking career at Farmers and Mechanics Bank and held a variety of positions during her 30-year tenure there. With 36 years of banking experience, Shinn specializes in developing internal back-office operational processes, information technology advancements, vendor management and system conversions.
