First Catholic Federal Credit Union Supports the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor Walk
First Catholic Federal Credit Union will be participating in this year's St. Vincent de Paul's Friends of the Poor Walk on Saturday.
- Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) September 24, 2011 - The employees of the credit union will be walking for the cause, along with hosting an event table where members of the community can stop by, pick up a free tote bag and enter to win a $100 Gift Card. "The walk truly supports a remarkable cause, gives us all the chance to come together for our community and, at the same time, help one of our favorite organizations raise money to support their imperative programs" offered Coretta Wallace, Manager of Lending & Marketing for First Catholic Federal Credit Union.
The Friends of the Poor® Walk is a unique fund raising effort organized nationally and locally by Councils and Conferences of the Society. It allows community members from all walks of life across the country to participate in a simultaneous, nationwide event to raise national awareness of the challenges faced by the nation's poor and to raise significant funds for use in direct service to the poor. Funds raised locally, will be used locally.
2011 Annual Friends of the Poor® Walk will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 on The Dequindre Cut Greenway-Riverfront Park, Detroit.
