Joyce is the first Filipino to join the New Orleans Fashion Week runway show. According to Joyce, her collection is inspired by Butterflies. “My inspiration for my collection is all about Butterflies. From ugly cocoon to a beautiful butterfly makes an awesome transformation and I am always fascinated on how it turns out. Just like my life from an ordinary girl who dreams to become a beauty queen and a model now as grown up woman that dreams become a reality.”
Joyce takes an eco-approach to her couture, she uses Inabel Iloco and abaca fiber, from the Ilocos region of the Philippines, as well as pineapple fabric, combined with silks for her collections. Previous collections designed by Joyce Pilarsky were featured within several fashion international publications and received exceptional reviews. She already joined numerous runway shows in New York, Germany, London, Dubai, Paris and Philippines. Her line of couture fabrics and creations are both elegant and daring but also are a nod to traditional Filipino garments. Each of her looks represents being one-of-a-kind, unique and special.

Joyce recently won as Mrs. Mother of the Universe 2017 in Durban, South Africa. She was awarded Second Prize at International Design Competition in Los Angeles, California for the Apparel Category Competition. Last October 2015, Joyce bagged the Grand Prize at the Los Angeles Design Competition by showcasing Filipino tribal wear by adapting her signature floral-inspired style.
