Fieldtex Thrives on American Manufacturing More sewn products are coming back from China
Fieldtex Products has again listened to their customers. The company has created an option for companies to have smaller quantities of sewn products imported at cheaper costs and fast delivery dates.
- Rochester, NY (1888PressRelease) March 06, 2012 - Fieldtex Products, a manufacturer of high quality industrial carrying cases and other sewn products, has recently grown due to the fact more and more companies are dissatisfied with the products that they were importing from places like China due to quality, cost and lead times. Fieldtex's ability to manufacturer products in quantities as small as 25 pieces has made it a more attractive option than importing, where you have to order in quantities ranging from 1,000-5,000 pieces.
Few people today realize how difficult and costly it can be to send a sewn product overseas. One customer that Fieldtex recently built a prototype for had planned on outsourcing the manufacturing until they learned that the first shipment would cost them over $40,000. As a start-up that was just not a viable option so they chose to have the product manufactured in much lower quantities and shorter lead times to better manage their inventory.
Fieldtex Products Inc. was founded in 1973 with 6 employees and a couple of sewing machines. Today its workforce is up to 150 employees with 85 sewing machines running everyday. 2011 was the biggest year in the company's history and 2012 is expected to be another banner year. By focusing on quality, service and delivery dates the company has built a loyal customer base and has also found many new customers through referrals from existing customers.
In order to deal with increased interest in American made bags, cases and sewn products Fieldtex recently launched a completely redesigned website Fieldtexcases.com. The site offers an overview of their capabilities as well as a gallery of products they have made in the past to give people a wide variety of product options.
