FiberStore Unveiled The Fourth Generation of IFS-15H Core-Alignment Fusion Splicer
FiberStore recently launced the new generation of fusion splicing machine IFS-15 Core alignment fusion splicer, which featuers more compact size, lighter, portable and easier to operater.
- (1888PressRelease) June 12, 2013 - FierStore recently unveiled a new generation of FTTH core-alignment fusion splicer IFS-15H, which will meet the market demand for more compact size, lighter, portable fusion splicer. The IFS-15H fusion splicer allows users to complete a variety of ultra-low loss connection in any environment, while no need to change any fiber fixtures, such as trunk fiber optic splicing, center room fiber splicing, fiber to the home fiber splicing, which will all be finished in a super-fixture, this will be not only convenient but also reduce the optical damages greatly, and avoid to clean and operate the fusion splicing machine repeatedly.
Some functions of the IFS-15H also make technicians' job easier, such as integrated imaging system. It allows the operator to see the two axis of the fiber, which is conducive for aligning the fibers. The built-in alarm system can warn the contaminated or inferior fibers. Fiber identification features can detect the fiber types, such as single-mode, multimode, non-zero dispersion shifted fiber, etc. and automatically adjusting the splicing machine according to these parameters. FiberStore research and development minister Ricky Jo added, IFS-15 fusion splicer' intuitive interface makes it is very easy to operate by any people that can use a computer.
Compared with other fiber splicing machine, IFS-15H significantly reduced operation time, core welding in 6-7 seconds, heat protection for about 30 seconds, the total splicing time is reduced to 40 seconds. While the previous generation of splicing equipment spends 12-15 seconds for each core fiber welding, and more than 1 minute for heat protection.
Ricky Jo said that, IFS-15H has been fully pushed into the market, by virtue of this products in the trunk, FTTx, and all other lines of construction versatility, such as core alignment, high speed, low loss, full-featured universal fixture, compact size, light weight and other characteristics, to win the highest praise in the similar telecommunication equipments.
