FiberStore Enhanced the DWDM Solutions for the New Optical Network
FiberStore enhanced the DWDM solutions for new optical network by the 100G technology and unique 50G DWDM solutions, and have contract with Internet Solutons for its new long-haul DWDM network across South Africa.
- (1888PressRelease) July 11, 2013 - FiberStore announced to enhance the DWDM solutions for the new optical network by providing the 100G DWDM MUX DEMUX and new rare 50G DWDM solutions.
FiberStore's 100G technology supports both 10G/40G Muxponder mode and 100G transponder mode on the same platform hardware thus enabling smooth migration between 10G, 40G and 100G technologies while utilizing the same device. This makes both technologies and operation modes can operate over existing 10G networks and seamlessly increase their capacity to 100G.
FibeStore 50G DWDM Mux Demux is based on silica-on-silicon planar technology and a unique athermal packing design requiring no electrical power, software or temperature control, which provides a completely passive DWDM solutions. The 50GHz spacing DWDM multiplexers offer a combination of very low loss and high channel isolation along with long term reliability per channel. Each module can perform mux and demux functions.

The network features the longest uninterrupted fiber spans in the continent. The new network will carries multiple 10G wavelengths and can scale to support many more 10G and 100G services.
