The 2019 FIA World Rallycross Championship will head to Abu Dhabi for the season opener following an agreement with promotors and the Yas Marina circuit.

Yas Marina Circuit inaugurated in 2009 is located on Yas Island which is about 30 minutes away from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The opening round of the FIA World Rallycross is going to take place at Abu Dhabi’s Formula 1 venue, the Yas Marina circuit as the first event of a long termed signed deal.
