(1888PressRelease) April 30, 2013 - On 6 and 7 July, at the Salon independence of the Club of the armed forces, will take place the world Anime Fair 2013. This is the second edition of the biggest annual Convention of anime, manga, comics, and video games in the Dominican Republic. This year, the event will be tributed to the genre mecha (of giant robots), very popular in our country in the decades of the ' 70s and ' 80s.
The Anime world fair opportunity that people of all ages share passions in common, being a setting in which fans, cultural organizations and companies held the anime, manga, comic books, video games, music and dancing.
During his two days, the event will feature a wide range of activities including contests, tournaments, screenings of anime, exhibitors, workshops, debates, lectures, fixed exhibitions of manual and digital art of giant robots, among other attractions. In addition, there will be concerts live in charge of three bands that will perform songs of anime: Chinola, sickle, and in it's relaunch after a few years of absence, Meganime.
The guest of honor this year will be Gabriela Vega, a singer and Mexican professional musician with a broad career in dubbing of voices and interpretation of songs in Spanish popular series of anime like InuYasha, and Shaman King. He is currently the bassist and backing vocalist of Aleks Sintek.
On Saturday, July 6, will be "FMA Idol," a singing competition whose participants will have received tutoring on body expression and voice at the time of his pre-selection. During the competition, will be presented to the winners of the contest last year.
Sunday, July 7, will be held the "Star Cosplay", a contest which consists of interpreting fictional characters, dressing up and acting like them. Fans of this art are usually playing characters from anime, manga, comics, video games and even science fiction, series TV and Disney.
