The RSA conference is considered the largest and most prestigious event of the year. Over the years companies from around the world have attended sharing in site and valuable products with the world. Annually Feitian attends this event in the USA. RSA holds 4 conferences annually around the world, with the October event in Beijing, China. At the China RSA conference Feitian was invited on two occasions to speak with Mr. Gregory Dunn from Feitian speaking on the topic of PKI and authentication methods and vulnerabilities.
During the show FEITIAN will be featuring their strong authentication products for enterprise and banking. As a leader in strong authentication Feitian has gained the number one position in the Chinese market. Products of concentration are OTP strong authentication series, PKI token series, Java Card series and Rockey software protection. All of the products will be available for demos and discussions.
Over the years many countries have seen regulations put in place from local authorities and internationally. These regulations are to protect end users from being affected by the ever present fraudsters and hackers working to steal assets from accounts and identities. The USA has seen a large concentration of these attacks and it is still on the rise. Measures are still slow to be put in place as many banking organizations still lack in protection using traditional username and passwords as a defense. This is seen as a weak defense as a hacker or Trojan virus can easily steal this valuable information leaving the victim vulnerable to bank transfers and identity theft. In the USA many bank accounts are infiltrated and cleared out by hacker and in enterprises identities are stolen leaving the hackers to do as they wish. Currently many organizations lag behind protection.
How do hackers do this? This can be done through a number of ways such as phishing sites, Trojans and man in the middle attacks (MITM). As some of the most common phishing sites are fake websites that appear to be the real deal. The user enters their information and it is instantly sent to the hacker. The end user is then redirected to the genuine site thinking there was a computer error, while now the hacker has all the login information needed for a transaction. Trojan viruses present and even larger risk as they are unknown and send all the information the end user is doing on their personal computer to the hacker. This includes any site and anything typed. Surprisingly many banks in the USA and abroad still implement simple static passwords that are easily stolen.
Feitian offers the solution to fight against these attacks. Through implementation of OTP, Java cards and PKI authentication systems hackers are stopped in their tracks unable to steal the information and send transactions. Identities are saved.
